Apparently it is becoming a very beneficial method to build urban skyscraper from the top!
Why it is an innovative technology?
Top-Down Construction is a method that involves building a structure by first erecting the top level and then constructing each floor below it.
In the case of Exchange, a building in Detroit, two core pillars were raised first, and then each floor was built on the ground before being lifted to the top using heavy-duty hydraulic lifts.
This approach reduces the need for large cranes and allows the work site to occupy less space. Additionally, it provides added safety for workers as each level can be sealed off before being raised.
